Greeting to all, and welcome to those joining for the first time.
The girls (two dogs, one cat, one wife) continue to sleep as this day turns into tonight. I have sat in silence most of this day, had technical type work to do and that kinda stuff lends itself well to working in silence. Went to church this morning, came home, removed my hearing aids and worked all day. Just those who can only hear with mechanical devices are able to fully comprehend the sound of silence. I may some day tell that story.
Late this afternoon a young deer came into the East Yard and walked within 20 feet of where I sat looking out the window knowing that if I moved the deer would bolt away. I did not. Low and behold within a few minutes the mother deer walked beside the baby. It seems I have a little bush in the yard that deer find appetizing cause that’s what they did, eat the bush, damn near the whole thing. I can just see how this deal is going to play out tomorrow Regina will see the little bush and right away think Oh No he got the lawn mower out again.
Read somewhere its not really fall till it frosts. WELL ITS FALL! Both Friday and Saturday Morning my world was frost before the sun melted the white into morning. Now just waiting for the ole leaves to turn color. Boy do I have a story about leaves turning color. If things work out I may even go see my Sister Thelma and see all the fall foliage in Eastern Kentucky. The neat thing about looking at the fall colors in Eastern Kentucky, ya get to see all the trees not just the ones on the outside edge of the forest like here in Indiana. The mountain is full color bottom to top.
One of our community grant application projects at the North Judson Main Street Committee just got a shot in the arm last week with the arrival of $1,000.00 from NIPSCO. The funds are earmarked for the Downtown Banner Project. My Son, John, completed a grant application last week to the Starke County Community Foundation for the continuing work of the Main Street Committee.

Two weeks ago I had a couple in Grand Central for dinner who live in Chicago, in conversation the lady asked “ What do you guys do out here in the country with all your spare time?” I asked her if she had ever seen corn grow. She had not. I told her about it. She will be back next year to watch. Her husband was not sure if he could get the time off, but would like to. By the end of the evening the both were in love with North Judson.Said they were going to tell everbody. Don't know if that was everbody in Chicago or just the ones they knew. Oh well, we'll see.
Friday Evening Buffet, The Italian Buffet, and by now you all know my wife, Regina, the Italian Queen. Well she runs the kitchen so that’s all need be said about the quality of this buffet. See ya there.
My Family, My Staff and I,
We wish you well.
