The MEETING ROOM is to the right after entering the first set of

doors.

Follow the hall to the room at the end.

PARKING is in front of the library.

WHY: Starting February 17, 2009, full-power television stations nationwide must switch from the old method of transmitting

TV signals, known as analog, to digital television (DTV). It is estimated that nearly 70 million television sets could

lose their signals when the transition happens.

If you currently own a TV set with a digital tuner or subscribe to cable or satellite service, you will likely continue to

receive TV programming as usual. However, if you watch TV on an analog TV set that is not connected to cable or

satellite, you will need to take action before the transition date.

People affected by the transition have three options: buy a new TV with a built-in digital tuner, subscribe to cable or

satellite service, or purchase a digital converter box. To help ease the financial burden of the transition, the U.S.

Congress has created the DTV Converter Box Coupon Program for people who want to keep using their analog TVs.

The program allows U.S. households to receive up to two coupons, each worth $40, which can be applied toward the

cost of eligible digital converter boxes.

RadioShack has partnered with the American Library Association to host seminars throughout the country to help

people prepare for the DTV transition. At this seminar, a RadioShack DTV expert will help answer the following

questions:

What is the DTV transition?

Will I be affected?

What do I have to do?

How do I get a coupon for a converter box?

How do I set up my converter box?
