Linda Hardesty, who was popular with staff and students alike, when employed as a secretary at the high school. She began her work career as Linda Fisher, when she was employed as a young lady at the Farmers Bank and Trust Company. More arrests could be forthcoming in the burglary spree that has occurred in Starke County over the past 8 months. Four Knox teens appeared in Starke Circuit Court this week on charges that they participated in some, or all of the break-ins. As gasoline prices throughout most of the country have been steadily decreasing over the last few days, fuel supply problems in various southeastern US markets due to lingering effects of Hurricane Ike and Gustav have continued to be a concern. As a result, motorists in the area are being asked to conserve fuel and not engage in behavior that could worsen the situation like topping off fuel tanks or hoarding gas. * Newsbriefs are courtesy of WKVI Radio and www.wkvi.com *
