AFL-CIO Endorses Larry Balmer for State Senate

Larry Balmer, Democratic Candidate for Indiana State Senate District 5, announced today that he has received the endorsement and support of the Indiana AFL-CIO and its 300,000 working class Hoosiers. The Indiana AFL-CIO is a federation of over 800 local unions throughout the state.

“Together with groups like the AFL-CIO, we will work to bring jobs and economic prosperity to the working families of Indiana.” Balmer said. “I am pleased to have the support of this organization that is dedicated to improving the lives of Indiana workers.”

Larry Balmer has also received the support of numerous other unions including locals from the Steelworkers, Electrical Workers, Teamsters, and Laborers.

Balmers’ campaign focus is on improving state benefits for Indiana Veterans, controlling health care costs, overcoming barriers that prevent access to quality health care, and protecting and improving markets for Indiana farm families.
