September 15, 2008 Monday * Newsbriefs are courtesy of WKVI Radio and www.wkvi.com * The Knox City Council held a public hearing last week on the Community Focus Fund Grant Application of $500, 000. The application was submitted last week and the Council will know in November whether or not they were chosen for the grant. The City of Knox has announced that its Water Department began flushing water hydrants last night from 9 PM until 5 AM this morning and will continue to flush hydrants each night at the same time through Thursday, September 18th. The department suggests that you let your water run until it is clear IF discoloration shows up. The North Judson Town Board will meet in regular session tonight at 6:30 PM at the Civic Center. The Board will have the 3rd reading of an ordinance creating a 4 way stop at the intersection of Mulberry and Lincoln Street. The board will also have a 3rd reading of an ordinance amending police report and document fees. There will be a 3rd reading of the fireworks ordinance and the 1st reading of a no parking ordinance on Ufkes and Campbell Drive. * Newsbriefs re courtesy of WKVI Radio and www.wkvi.com *
