Francis Vullmahn will be at the Henry F. Schricker Public Library on Tuesday, September 23rd to give the public knowledge of music and history. Francis will walk you through the signs and habits of migrating birds, the effects harvest time has had on schools and the way animals hibernate. The program is free at the Henry F. Schricker Public Library. The program is scheduled for Tuesday, September 23rd from 7 to 8 PM CT.
At the last Knox City Council meeting, the Council heard a proposal from Tom Sharp, Grade Crossing Safety Manager from the Norfolk-Southern Railroad, about closing three railroad crossings in the City of Knox. Those crossings include Bower Street, Williams Street and a crossing in the alley between Main and Shield Streets. The public will get a chance to discuss the issue at tomorrow night’s Knox City Council meeting at 7 PM CT at the Knox City Hall.
The North Judson Town Wide Yard Sale is this Saturday from 9 AM to 3 PM. Maps will be available Thursday, September 11th at the Pioneer Florist or Grand Central Station Restaurant.
The Knox City Council will meet tonight in regular session at 7 PM at the Knox City HAll. At this meeting, the Council will adopt the 2009 budget, a public haring will be held concerning the proposed sewer project, a representative from Bonar and Associates will talk about the sewer project, Sabre Manufacturing will come before the Council to request a tax abatement, the Council will approve the 2009 holiday schedule and 2009 meeting dates and there will be an open public discussion on the railroad crossing closure proposal. The public is encouraged to attend.
