Cheryl Ruth Barber  

Cheryl Ruth Barber, 64, of Hamlet, died in her residence at 1:10 p.m. on Saturday, August 9th, after a courageous battle with cancer. She leaves behind her husband, Bernie; two sons, Kevin (Becky) Barber and Kris (Tami) Barber; three grandsons; two granddaughters, Brooke and Madison Barber; a brother, Paul Murray (Joan) Johnson of Easley, SC; two sisters, Marcia (Michael) Ruminski and Laura (Dennis) Hill; and several loving nieces, nephews and cousins. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, Aug. 12, at 1 p.m., with Pastor Jack Cox officiating. There is no visitation. Arrangements are being handled by Essling Funeral Home.
