For Immediate Release Friday, May 23, 2008 Sport: Men’s Basketball Lawrence Central’s Cash Signs with Ancilla Men’s Basketball DONALDSON – Phillip Cash III of Indianapolis, IN has signed a national letter of intent with the Ancilla College men’s basketball team for the 2008-2009 season. Cash, a 6’4” swingman, is the second player to sign with the Chargers this year, joining fellow Indianapolis native Chris Henderson-Wells of Arsenal Tech. Cash, who was coached by J.R. Shelt, was impressed by Ancilla’s small student-to-teacher ratio and also listed the campus environment and the basketball coaching staff as factors in his commitment. He currently plans to study Physical Education. “Phil will bring athleticism and versatility to our team,” said Ancilla men’s basketball coach Steve Helm. “He can play two or three different positions and will fit in well with our style of play.”
