“From the Farm” Program...by Philip Potempa
Would you like to learn about Starke County community, meet newspaper columnist and author, Philip Potempa, enjoy sampling some of his recipes, enter drawings for over $600 in prizes, play games and have a book signed by him?
Philip Potempa has written the books: "From the Farm: Family Recipes and Memories of a Lifetime" and "More from the Farm: Family Recipes and Memories of a Lifetime."
He will also share his most recent experience filming a new movie with actor Johnny Depp entitled "Public Enemies," produced by Universal Studios. Philip Potempa will present a free program at Starke County Public Library, Saturday, June 21, 2008 at 12 noon to 2 p.m.

In 2004, Philip published his newspaper columns in his initial cookbook "From the Farm: Family Recipes and Memories of a Lifetime." For the first time, people got a glimpse of the Starke County Indiana farm he had been writing about. was released in May 2007 as a follow-up to his popular first cookbook.
Philip's program will include more than $600 in prizes during free drawings, games, displays and a recipe sampling. He will sell and sign copies of his books, and share his most recent experience filming a new movie with actor Johnny Depp entitled "Public Enemies," produced by Universal Studios.
